Open Mic Night

The Urban Charrette’s Open Mic Night series is designed as a forum where the community can openly interact with experts on a particular topic and provides the opportunity for dialog on issues that face our city. The Open Mic Night concept was developed from a local historical model within the Tampa cigar factory community. After a long day, workers often met to discuss neighborhood issues in a casual and open setting.

Open Mic Nights are open to the public and were typically held once a month on a Wednesday evenings. The series was held from 2008-2011.
